Thank you for helping to spread the word. We very much appreciate it. Today, we are happy to announce a new Propeller Flight -- Optimized Artist Websites, one of our free email mini-courses. More info later in the email. But, first, we'd like to answer a question received from a handful of subscribers after last week's newsletter: Hey! Can you elaborate more on what 'artist services is'? Chances are, you’ve heard the term 'artist services' thrown around even before we mentioned it last week, but you might not be clear on what 'artist services' means. Artist services refers to all the strategic, marketing, and operational support needed to grow an artist's career in today’s music industry without giving up ownership or control. The infrastructure helps an artist operate like a major artist while staying independent. In practical terms, an artist services agency steps in to handle or guide things like:
As an artist, when you're stuck trying to coordinate a marketing plan, setting up your next release, negotiating with distributors, or building a pre-save campaign from scratch, they’re not writing songs, connecting with fans, or developing their creative vision — the very things that only they can do. An artist services agency acts like an artist's right hand — executing strategy, handling operations, and bringing in real music industry expertise — so that the artist can focus on what they do best. Artists who have grown too big to manage their career themselves and aren't quite ready (or don't want to) hire a manager can expand their team on a month-to-month or project-by-project basis by working with an artist services agency. Artist managers who can't (or don't want) to grow their in-house staff can work with an artist services agency to strengthen the artist manager's operational infrastructure.
